Toptable says about Bogayo
It may not quite be an African holiday, but Old Street's Bogayo is about as close as you'll come. A chill out lounge with a Moroccan vibe Bogayo channels the sunshine even when it's three below. The dining room combines traditional Moroccan lanterns and soft furnishings with contemporary touches while the plush surroundings of the draped Moroccan tent will turn your cocktail in to a royal experience. The menu likewise fuses European and British ingredients with a generous helping of North Africa – enjoy a tapas meal with friends or treat yourself to delicious traditional Tagine.

The Bogayo was very nice, with attentive staff. The food was tasty and filling. I had the lamb tagine and my wife dave, had the butternut squash rissotto which he enjoyed immensely. Finished with a small amount of baclava and a creme brulee. The prosecco was very fruity and set the scene for a nice romatic evening.
Went for Valentines night. Very nice food overall. Nice butternut squash risotto main and the halloumi starter were particularly good. Only let down by a slightly burnt Creme Brulee. We missed the Belly dancer, but the décor was atmospheric and the service was pleasant. Tables were a little close together.
We visited Bogayo early in the evening (pre-theatre) so it was quiet but with good service and great food. We chose the more morrocan food and drink from the menu and found it to be tasty and authentic. The lamb tagine is a particularly good choice being extremely tender.
Bogayo - The food was excellent, good flavours and well cooked. The restaurant itself was very welcoming. Service was good, courteous and polite. The Morrocan wine was a treat! All round very good value for money looking forward to going back!
Nice place but dont expect it to be like the pictures, its rather old looking. Food is nice and service is good but and just average in terms of value for money. Not a place I am crying to go again to but would possibly visit if I was in the area.
