Preem and Prithi
About Preem and Prithi
A trip to London isn't complete without a visit to a Brick Lane curry house, and Balti-loving locals will tell you that Preem and Prithi Balti House is the go-to place for authentic, affordable east end curries. The décor here is light and breezy, but the star of the show is the extensive menu, smiley service and moreish poppadoms. Preem Prithi is an Brick Lane instiution that isn't far from the bars and boutiques in Hackney and Spitalfields, making it a convenient meeting spot for nights out. Regulars love the Prawn Jalfrezi – a Bengal recipe using fresh coriander and green chillies; the Chicken Tikka marinated in spices and homemade yoghurt; and the Lamb Dansak in a lentil sauce.

We had a very enjoyable meal at Preem and Prithi on Brick Lane. It was recommended by a friend although we weren't sure what to expect given some of the less-favourable reviews online. It felt a little like walking into someone's front room but the food and service were great and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We'd all go back.
We had a Christmas dinner here for 14 people, service was good and no problems adding two extra people at late notice. Food was all good and very good value, would definitely return, all you need from a Brick Lane curry.
We were late for our reservation but no issue. Food was excellent, wine list was funny but the actual wines were more than good enough. Staff were extremely friendly.
Preem and Prithi in Brick Lane - 7 of us went for a leaving lunch and all had very good food. Service was attentive and all the food came out at the same time. Very good value as bill was less than expected.
As always brick lane is full of curry houses trying to get you through the door but just walk past and head to Preem and Prithi for good curry and friendly staff.
