Imperial City

About Imperial City

Situated beneath London’s imposing Royal Exchange building, only minutes away from the Bank tube, Imperial City is a theatrical Chinese restaurant set in a memorable space. With its vaulted ceilings, golden Buddhas, rich textiles and boudoir-style décor one half expects to bump into James Bond. Fortunately the delicious menu will distract you from the excellent people watching, and there are plenty of nooks and crannies for discreet business deals and romantic rendezvous. Imperial City’s ground-breaking menu complements the decadent surroundings, and the avant-garde style of food like the wok fried crispy monkfish with vegetables along with the Imperial lotus pancakes cater for both business and pleasure. With a mix of both city and fashion types, the crowd is sophisticated yet unpretentious, and the general mood here is one of joyous indulgence. A great choice for a special night out on the town, Imperial City has it all: romance, character and affordable prices.

The food at Imperial City was not that great for the price (better can be found in Haozhan in Chinatown for around the same price-range), although the atmosphere is really nice, and there is really no other choice for Chinese in the City.
