Zizzi - Aldwych
About Zizzi - Aldwych
Italian restaurant chain Zizzi opened the doors of its very first branch in London's Chiswick in 1999. Now there are over 100 branches, all decorated in an appealing contemporary style. Wood-fired ovens, open kitchens and modern interior design with locally influenced art features make for a vibrant atmosphere. As for the food, they serve up a variety of traditional Italian dishes including all the usual suspects: salads, antipasti, pasta, pizza, calzone, risotto as well as fish and meat mains and desserts. What Zizzi really pride themselves on is sourcing good quality ingredients; salads are dressed with white balsamic vinegar from Modena, for example, and offer Goddess Olives, a variety known for their firm flesh and nutty flavour. The modestly priced wine list is dominated by Italian wines, starting at £13.45 for a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. This branch is right on London's The Strand and, being in the heart of theatreland, is appropriately decorated with theatre imagery.

nice and efficient!
Zizzi on the Strand- managed to have lost reservation despite showing them the confirmation e-mail. By luck, just in time to get one of the only tables left; any later and we would have got anything pre- theatre nearby as it was very busy. Food: pasta fine but lasagne poor; deserts were OK. Service- far too rushed early on, did not even get a chance to look at the menu properly but dish of olives ordered as a starter came only 1 minute before then slow getting our bill.
Very good food. Mushroom and chicken risotto and lovely wine - Sauvignon Blanc. Service great too as we were going to the theatre and only had 45 minutes. Would definitely go again and spend more time.
Great as always. had a really nice time. Good food and service. Had the chicken millansea which was very nice.
Zizzi Aldwich was booked for a friend of mine, they liked it and rated it 9-10
