Azzurro
About Azzurro
Located near London Bridge station – across the road from London Dungeon if you’re having trouble finding it - Azzurro is a laid-back Italian restaurant with a contemporary Deco-esque twist and a cosy basement bar. The dining room at Azzurro has a warm, vintage vibe and is decorated with an eclectic mix of sofas, old church pews and chunky wooden furniture, making it the perfect venue for business lunches, office parties and intimate evening meals. The food philosophy at Azzurro is simple: use quality fresh ingredients to prepare classic Italian dishes. Specials change frequently here, and the menu will always provide an appealing mix of traditional antipasti, salads, pizzas, pastas and risottos as well as meat and fish dishes, so that you could start your meal with a bowl of marinated olives, followed up by a mixed antipasto platter and a steaming bowl of spaghetti Veneziana (prawns, crayfish, garlic, chilli, tomato and cream). Desserts, too, are worth a mention – finish off your meal with a creamy tiramisu, refreshing gelati or a digestif like limoncello from the bar.

Very good food. I had the seafood risotta and my firned had the seafood pasta - both tasted heavenly! Very chic atmosphere overall! It was a bit tricky to find the lcoation at first though.
A good meal at Azzurro, really generous portions and decent enough food, very good value too. It does feel slightly like one of the chains and not so authentic, but still good for a reasonably priced Italian meal. Service was quite slow despite the restaurant only being half full.
Went to Azzurro, London Bridge, with my friend and her young baby. They couldn't have done more to help and were really helpful. We started with olives which can often be uneventful, but theirs were gorgeous, sprigs of fresh rosemary and cornichons...mmm. The bread with tomato and pesto was exceptional, baked fresh with the most delicious sauces. The pasta was, regrettably, pretty average but all in all I'd recommend due to the starters and the staff.
This was a great venue for a large group for lunch, the menu is good an affordable and as we pre ordered our mains we didn't have to wait long at all.
Azzurro, Tooley Street, London Bridge 1pm lunch for 2 people. Sea Bass was lovely, two good size pieces which was nice to see. I would have liked to order some veg but I couldn't get the waiter to understand me. Overall lovely meal with a gorgeous bottle of wine - really tasty. Restaurant was freezing though!
