About Kathmandu Valley

Wandsworth foodies know the best place in south west London for a fresh, healthy curry is at Kathmandu Valley restaurant on West Hill. Renowned for its light, healthy cuisine and down-to-earth hospitality, this dining room is always buzzing with a hungry crowd and has been going strong for over ten years. Perfect for group celebrations and family nights out, Kathmandu Valley has a chilled vibe and super-friendly staff, and locals love classics such as the Nepalese chicken masala cooked with garlic, fruit and cream; the karai king prawn curry with herbs, capsicums, tomatoes and fresh ginger, and the trisuli salmon marinated in spices and fried with ginger and green chillies in a spicy sauce.

I booked Kathmandu on behalf on my house-mate - here are her thoughts... We stopped by after visiting Wandsworth Cinema & a few drinking holes near-by. Super convenient location for dinner, but really doesn't look too appealing from the outside. Having ordered take-away a number of times, we weren't put off. All food was full of flavour & non-greasy. Naans were all the more delicious straight from the tandoor. Service good. Not somewhere I'd regularly visit though, as I prefer to take-away.

Kathmandu Valley offered a good midweek venue for a group meal - service is friendly and prompt, food good and complimentary Nepalese rum finished the night well!

It was quiet, but we were quite early in the evening. The food was very good. Service was friendly and non-intrusive. The garlic naan was fab. King prawns were well cooked. All-in-all a good experience and will return.

Kathmandu Valley, Wandsworth Despite living only 500m away, for almost 10 years, I'd never ventured to Kathmandu Valley. Last night I made the trip and I was v impressed. As it is a Nepalese 'Indian' it means it has a few more original dishes than your average restaurant and those Nepalese dishes we tried were v good. They also stock Nepalese beer - which was a first and definitely worth trying one or a few bottles. Sevice from staff was also very good. Will go back again.

3 of us visited Kathmandu Valley in Wandsworth on saturday night. The service was friendly and the food, as on previous occasions, was very good. Well worth a visit.
