The Salt House
About The Salt House
A dignified dining room serving fine seasonal food from constantly updated menus, North London’s The Salt House is situated on Abbey Road, just a moment’s stroll from the legendary zebra crossing made famous by The Beatles. With a strong focus on raw ingredients, The Salt House’s kitchen is dedicated to seeking out the very best possible fresh produce for use in refined but creative dishes inspired by traditional British cookery with a liberal sprinkling of Continental inspiration. Changing daily, The Salt House’s menu provides diners with the opportunity to experience the very best of seasonal produce from British producers without venturing outside of London. In addition to the bar area of this old Victorian style pub, its feel relaxed and bustling, The Salt House offers a beautiful dining room decorated in angelic cream and gold, with all the atmosphere and elegance of an expensive Mayfair restaurant but without so much of a sniff of pretension. A favourite neighbourhood eatery, The Salt House is a fine example of a totally new breed of pub dining rooms.

Very cosy, especially with the fireplace.
We had an excellent meal although the wait was long. I believe this was due to the fact that they are undergoing improvements and this is bound to cause delays. Overall a nice experience. Rather hot, but this also probably be due to ongoing works. We would definately make a return visit.
Good meal at the Salt House.....friendly service and well cooked food
My boyfriend and I brought some visiting guests to the Salt House in London for a late lunch last weekend and as usual we loved it. We are regulars at the Salt House and love to take visitors there! The menu changes regularly - andthis time it was classic British pub fare - just the thing for this particular audience.
Fine meal at The Sat house last night. Menus have changed. Food was up the normal standard so no complaints on the level. Waitress insisted on seating us on a particular table annoyingly even though the restaurant was empty and just 2 tables by the time we left at 9pm. A bit childish but I'll put it down to her obvious inexperience.Fortunately, the other waiter was very good and friendly.
