Toptable says about Cafe Mode
Café Mode restaurant in Covent Garden is a little Med-inspired gem, as cosy and comforting as your favourite fleece. The décor is a simple mix of dark wood and apricot walls and large mirrors, and the warm atmosphere, reasonable prices and delightfully friendly service have made this handily-placed café a word-of-mouth hit. Start with calamari fritti, served with dill mayonnaise dip, then tuck into a juicy sirloin steak or one of the justifiably famous pizzas. Puddings tend towards the deliciously sinful, from tiramisu to strawberry cheesecake. If you're meeting friends in Covent Garden, share the secret of Café Mode – they'll love it, and you'll feel all smug and clever.

I always have a brilliant time at Cafe Mode. Mohammed treats me very well every time. The food is good value, and very decent indeed. Ambience is very good, although I would advise against sitting downstairs in the minute basement where we sat this time. You tend to get slightly forgotten! Although I will forgive this reataurant anything, as I always have such a good time, and they always go the extra mile (they had no mustard and went out to the shops to get some for us!).
Cafe Mode, on Sat night. abit of the beaten track, the food was really good! Three course meal, everyone getting steaks and two bottles of wine £20 a head, couldnt beat it!
Went to Cafe Mode last night with an old friend. I have eaten there many times but saw the offer on top table which is too good to refuse! Food as always is good. Nothing outstanding just good plain italian grub. Service last night was outstanding. Long may this offer continue - I'll be there every week!!
Cafe mode has a really nice atmosphere, great food and great service. You dont feel like you are in London as its so relaxed and cosmopolitan!
I've been to Cafe Mode before and had a great time, but was disappointed this time around. My food was way too salty and I felt like the waiters were pushing extras (olives, drinks, coffee) onto us a bit too much (although I will say they were very smily and friendly). Overall, I felt the mood/atmosphere changed from the last time I was there.
