Mamma Ristorante, in various guises, has been a west London fixture and firm favourite with locals for over 25 years. The current restaurant is on Richmond's Kew Road, easy walking distance from Kew Gardens, and the shops and transport links of Richmond. The décor is wonderfully quirky; the restaurant is decked out to look like a courtyard in Italy, complete with washing lines hung with clothes strung over the tables. As for the food, the extensive menu is full of authentic Italian classics, just like mamma used to make. Diners can choose from a range of tempting antipasti, salads, pastas and risottos, pizzas, meat and seafood dishes, as well as a range of classic Italian desserts. The fresh, tasty food, friendly service, affordable wine list and welcoming atmosphere all go down well with customers and ensure Mamma Ristorante will remain a Richmond institution for many years to come.

As regular visitors to Cafe Mamma for past 3 yrs, we were getting a little concerned that standards were slipping the last 2 months, but they are right back up there again with fantastic service and delicious food. Yay! Love this place!
Lovely evening. Food and service were fine but nothing special. Nice atmosphere.
It was our first time to Caffe Mamma in Richmond, and overall it was very good. The food and atmosphere were great and the restaurant has a lovely feel to it. However, there was an issue with the bill, resulting in the owner having to come back to us after paying in order for us to pay more. Not the best end!
On a dismal rainy day in Richmond, the interior of Caffe Mamma was also a little gloomy but the welcome and the service made up for it and was very warm and friendly. The set menu was fairly predictable Italian fare but the standard of the food was above average - an excellent minestone soup fpr example. Definitely worth the short walk ouf the centre of Richmond.
Caffe Mamma in Richmond in a delightful Italian Restaurant with a novel decor and a very pleasant ambience. The service was very friendly and sufficiently attentive without being invasive. The quality of the food was really good with an excellent choice form the menu with authentic Italian dishes. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would certainly go back again.
