Toptable says about Brasserie Chez Gerard

Just across from Acton Green Common, in the villagey Chiswick is another branch of the ever popular Brasserie Gerard brasserie chain. Combining a cool, contemporary design with the feel of a 1930s Parisian café, Brasserie Gerard strikes a balance which suits everyone from be-suited businessmen to yummy mummies and even teens with cash to burn. With friendly, accommodating service, the vibe is laid back and relaxed while the menu, with its French favourites and global specialities, will appeal to all from the most hard to please Francophile to strict veggies and kids alike. Add to that a well stocked bar including some impressive wines and champagnes and Brasserie Gerard has got the locals' vote.

We had been trying to find the right time to go to Brasserie Chez Gerard - Chiswick for quite some time since we love the area and we have heard so much about it. And to be honest with you, it didn't disappoint! Service was brilliant from the beginning, which included some good suggestions regarding our wine and food choices. Our starters were deliciously combined and well cooked and the stake and chicken we had for our main was delightful. A bit more than what we expected to pay for it though!

Really nice for amid week meal, simple french brasserie food nicely presented and served. Overall, well worth a visit.

We decided to try Chez Gerard for lunch. Food was OK but nothing spectacular. Even though it was not busy, the service was pretty poor. Will try it again soon to see if there is any improvement.

I took my wife and daughter Brasserie Gerard on Valentine's Day. It was a very enjoyable evening and the food was excellent.

For a chain restaurant Chez Gerard certainly delivered above expectations. Homely atmosphere, pleasant staff and service, the meal was well cooked, though nothing that will blow your mind. Perfect for a mid-week relaxing evening out, fairly quiet (only a few quests dining on this particular evening) although enough of an atmosphere for when you fancy something where you can eat good food and a good gossip with a friend or partner.
