Toptable says about Atma

Atma restaurant offers elegant surrounds coupled with exquisite modern Indian cuisine, giving Hampstead-ites a fine dining experience close to home. With leather chairs and sophisticated table settings, the relaxed, candlelit ambience is ideal for dates and indiscretions. The staff, all trained at award-winning restaurants, are friendly and helpful, and the sensational food is beautifully presented. We love the battered baby soft shell crab with sesame and crushed pepper served with a black rice noodle cake; the barbecued venison in a Tandoori marinade of fresh green herbs; and the Chicken Tikka Makhni - tandoori chicken tikka cooked with fenugreek and fresh creamed tomatoes.

We really enjoyed the food at Atma although not very buzzy at all and atmosphere was rather dull. Good place to go pre-cinema.

Lovely Indian restaurant with excellent food and a cosy family feel. Great service with waiters that take pride in their profession and food, recommending matching of dishes and sides, almost like artists... Top notch food at great prices and lovely service - will definitely go back!

This was my first visit to Atma. Fairly busy even for early evening, it obviously has regular local customers. Its much better than your standard Indian restaurant fare, succulently cooked and huge portions. Why do I always order too much?

Good service too, a definite recommend!

Lovely restaurant, quiet but we did go on a sunday evening. Food was very light and tasty....not your usual heavy greasy indiian curry house. Service was great.
