Spices
About Spices
Spices restaurant in Islington’s Chapel Market serves extremely high quality Indian and Bangladeshi dishes in a restaurant that’s like Indian restaurants you used to know. The green awning welcomes you into a newly-renovated, old-style restaurant that’s partly takeaway and partly dining room, so while it’s not a place to impress a design-victim, it’s certainly a spot to thrill a foodie. The staff has old-fashioned courtesy, the owner is smiling and the freshly prepared dishes really reach the heights. They will even create new dishes for you. Everything is good, but do try the Dallsha. Oh, and bring your own wine or beer.

Great food, service and venue - highly recommended!
Great meal. The waiter was very helpful in pairing a number of dishes together which was helpful. Will definitely go back.
Spices in Islington is excellent value, with a varied and interesting menu and friendly service. Would reccommend.
Extremely helpful staff. Our waiter (I think also manager) helped us pick out two dishes according to what sort of things we like. We were very happy with the service and the food was rather nice too. BYOB very convenient, swift service, nice honest food.
I come to Spices quite a lot as it is near a few live music venues but it is of itself always an enjoyable experience: well prepared and proper Indian cooking with friendly knowledgible service on a rather long menu. As before big plus on the BYO and my only reservation is the rather dull room but hey when everything else is well above par wear some shades and the room will look good too!
