Sitaaray
About Sitaaray
Located on London’s Drury Lane, in the city’s famous Theatreland and a thirty second stroll from the Freemasons Hall, the spacious and atmospheric Sitaaray restaurant combines India’s two most famous exports – cinema and food. Both the ground and mezzanine levels of the restaurant are theatrically decorated, with smouldering deep red walls strewn with eclectic and interesting Bollywood memorabilia, reflecting the intriguing and artistic history of Hindu filmmaking. But while you might be surrounded by the faces of Indian cinema legend during your time at Sitaaray, it’s undoubtedly the food that’s the star here. While at lunchtime you’ll enjoy well priced box office smashes from a menu of traditional favourites, during the evening diners are treated to something really special – an all you can eat menu stuffed full of not only the old crowd pleasers but a good array of Indian street food, kebabs and regional curries, all at a set price.

Sitaaray - London Really annoying you can't ring the restaurant to answer a simple enquiry, you have to email which went ignored. Have booked this restaurant many times and we really like it but they were very busy and service was extremely poor. Food is normally excellent but was totally disappointed this time. The manager was very attentive as he recognised that fact we were regular customers.
The food at Sitaaray, just off London's Covent Garden, is extremely good. We had the pre-theatre dinner, including several kebab starters and an excellent curry combination as the second course. The decor, a homage to Bollywood, is fun and the service reasonably attentive. My main reservation was that the two nice ladies next to us - also eating before the theatre - were not told of this menu, and spent twice as much on a huge meal they couldn't finish.
The offer for unlimited kebabs and curries is truly good value for money. I took my US colleagues and they agree that it was the best Indian cuisine that they had ever tasted. Since our visit to Sitaaray a week ago they are still discussing the first course which was a wonderful fillet of fish. Its my 5th visit and I plan to continue dining chez Sitaaray
Sitaaray, Drury Lane. Service a bit slow to start with, then presented with the largest number of kebabs Ive had in a while. Some were tastier than others, but a bit upset I was too full to finish the main - the chicken tasted lovely, as did the nan - but couldnt finish it. It was unlimited too, so a very good deal for someone with a big appetite!! Great cheesy Indian decor too!
Visited Sitaaray on Drury Lane for a pre-theatre meal. We both had the £18 unlimited kebabs and curries and were delighted with the food. Nine different kebabs/starters - and we liked all of them. Then three curry dishes, of which we especially liked the dhal. The staff was very friendly and helpful also. Recommended, tasty and interesting - and we'll send some of our veggie friends as there is a vegetarian option with an impressive 12 dishes also.
