Both ground and mezzanine levels are theatrical spaces of smouldering red walls filled with unique Indian cinema memorabilia, and eclectic lighting that reflects the 75-year evolution of Hindi filmmaking. Sitaaray was great fun, although I found myself somewhat mesmerised by the Bollywood movies being played around the venue! Wonderful food. great for a fun date or large group.
Sitaaray was a very pleasing departure from your normal curry house, a great buzz to the place, the fixed menu was well worth the money and the selection was excellent, will definitely go back. If I had to be critical, I would say the male waiters were great, as for the female waitresses, a smile and the occasional friendly word goes a long way....!!
OK they messed up our booking time. Reserved online for 7pm, then they called to change it to 18:30 and when we arrived they had us down for 8pm!? Anyhow, at 18:30 we were the first and only guests there. We felt a bit rushed. New dishes would arrive before we were even 1/2 way through the previous dish! And when it got busier the special attention we received soon vanished. Nevertheless, the food tasted great. Perfect portions. And the whole bollywood glamour theme worked well. Recommended!
Amazingly good value, lovely food and so much of it!
Sitaaray is excellent value for money with a wide range of dishes served as part of the 50% offer. An interesting restaurant and definitely worth a detour.
