Toptable says about Red Chilli

The Red Chilli restaurant just beyond the eastern edge of the City of London has got a trick up its sleeve. Outside, you'll see a classic neo-Georgian brick front with white casement windows, but step inside and you'll find the heart of traditional India transplanted to modern London. The interior is a haven of exposed brick, deep red curtains, carpets, and walls, smart leather seating, and tables set with spotless white linens. The bar is all shiny chrome, red leather and moody blue lighting. Red Chilli is a family-run business, with buzzy, vivacious staff and clientele. The menu covers Indian favorites, tandoori dishes, biryani specialties, great vegetarian choices and popular monthly menus.

We had the Anniversary and Asian Bento boxes, which were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

Went at Saturday lunchtime which was great, as not a lot of people around so it was quiet enough to chat, with lots of attention from the staff.

Had a work do at Red Chilli for 35/40 people. We had a set banquet meal. The service was excellent but the food was average, and bizarrely served in plastic dishes. Probably wouldn't use it again. Ended up costing £30 a head.

The food at Red chilli was superb, really good authentic indian food, freshly made and not oily at all. Portions a littile small, but prices are not high. Only bad point was service was slow, but this was made up for with free drinks. Will be going back again!

I loved the range of food at Red Chilli - nice to see plenty of fish on the menu (which our party took advantage of and was delighted with the results) and some unusual chef's specials. The staff were very attentive and helpful. In all we really enjoyed ourselves!
