Nestled inside the Andaz Hotel, 1901 boasts an enviable location in the heart the City, just moments from Liverpool Street station. The building itself dates back to 1884, but the restaurant's interior combines modern and contemporary décor with classical pillars and a spectacular stain-glassed dome in the ceiling. Informal seating and a cocktail bar are the main focus of the room, making it an ideal venue for casual dinners, business lunches and intimate gatherings. Head Chef Dominic Teague takes a fresh and dynamic approach to fine dining and his menu features innovative dishes using home-grown British produce. Guests can also enjoy tastings from the wine and cheese cellar which acts as a backdrop to the room.

Great value on the toptable deal and the cheeseboard was to die for!
Andaz was a real find - lovely surroundings; good service; very knowledgable staff; extensive & interesting cocktail list - great experience all round.
The food is very safe and not terribly complex. The room is very pretty and the service is good and attentive. Took a bit of time with the initial drinks but good therafter. the toptable menu is good value as the red was a drinkable NZ Pinot Noir. So for £80 inc service it is worth a visit however the ratings seem to come from people who have never experienced true fine dining.
1901 is my new favourite retaurant! Beautiful place, lovely staff and gorgeous food. Perfect evening.
1901 has a lovely informal but classy atmosphere. The service was excellent and the food was delicious with attention to detail. There was a roving trumpeter who added to the ambience. Fantastic value for money with the deals currently available too. Recommended.
