The Cedar

About The Cedar

Right in the heart of London's leafy Maida Vale, The Cedar restaurant is a celebrated institution; they've been satisfying west Londoners with fresh and authentic Lebanese cuisine for years now. Customers praise the tasty food at reasonable prices and the service; as an added bonus, the friendly chef promises to visit each table during or after your meal. As well as locals, The Cedar has also been praised by MPs, TV personalities, actor Rhys Ifans and Super Furry Animals singer Gruff Rhys. The restaurant itself has recently undergone refurbishment and is now decked out with trendy exposed brick and sleek, simple furnishing elsewhere. As for the food, The Cedar is an all-day destination, starting with manakeesh (Lebanese pizzas) and strong coffee for breakfast. The menu is extensive, and options for lunch and dinner include a wide range of hot and cold mezze, hot wraps with grilled meat, vegetables or falafel, and mains including their signature dish, Kafta khashkhash (grilled mince lamb with spicy tomato sauce).

We visited The Cedar in Kilburn last night. We love Lebanese food and was very impressed with the food and the services. The bread is soft and served hot, and soujouk (spicy sausages) are very tasty. The owner and the staff are very friendly. Heard that breakfast is nice - look forward to trying it next time.

Very impressed with our first visit to The Cedar! Decor a little dated but food & service more than made up for it. Good value for a quick midweek supper. We had a starter & 2 mains which came with freshly baked bread & pickles, all of which were delicious! Will definately visit again!
