Brixton Space Tapas Bar

About Brixton Space Tapas Bar

The owners and staff at Brixton Space Tapas Bar know that tapas isn’t so much a cuisine as a way of life, so they’ve opened this fantastic restaurant to provide London with a space where food and relaxation go hand in hand. Upbeat and comfortable, with a quirky and kitsch décor including 70s style wallpaper in bold toasted oranges and reds, Brixton Space welcomes guests in to a dining room where they immediately feel right at home. Though a tapas bar, Brixton Space doesn’t focus only on Spanish food, instead the chefs take their inspiration from the world over, fusing flavours and techniques from Britain, the continent and the rest of the world to produce small sharing plates with an international vibe. Ingredients are freshly sourced at Brixton market with fair trade and organic produce used wherever possible in everything from dinner dishes to the coffees and cakes enjoyed at leisure throughout the daytime.

Lovely evening at Brixton Space; special mention to their understanding on late arrival! Service to make you feel you have stepped into a friend's living room, and the ability for one person to both serve tables and produce great food continues to astound, if you appreciate occassional delays when busy! Wine/sherry very reasonable and offering a great choice by the glass. Stand-out dishes included pumpkin, mozarella & rocket salad and lentil, chorizo & roasted veg stew. Good serrano tonight too!

Brixton Space - sadly not amazing. The sherry and wine was WONDERFUL but the tapas was disappointing. The chorizo and jamon tasted like they were cheap and out of a packet, the whitebait was good though. A bit expensive for what it is.
