The Jam Cupboard is a cosy retaurant offering well prepared nicely presented traditional food. Service is friendly and efficient.
The ambience is very good for a hotel restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. Food was excellent. If staying at the hotel wander no further. Passing or nearby you will not be disappointed. Newly furnished and appointed Enjoyable evening.
The Jam Cupboard, a very smart hotel restaurant, was promising from the outside but sadly failed to live up to it's funky exterior. The service was polite but slow, worrying given that they weren't particularly busy. The food choice was limited and whilst my friends enjoyed their hake and chicken my vegetarian option was unexciting, particularly considering the price. We probably won't be going back.
Really loved this restaurant although it was very quiet - not really a downside but meant it lacked a little atmosphere. Food was great though and we felt like we were private diners!
The restaurant is part of an hotel and conveniently situated on Gloucester road in South Kensington. We found the ambience a bit sleepy for a Friday night but on the upside could choose our table. Apart from waiting a little long for our food orders to be taken and the bread arriving after the starter, the food was very good. We chose two courses from the set menu. The starter of beet, goats cheese and mackerel was superb and the chicken for the main course was perfectly cooked.
