Denise’s has barely changed since it opened in 1989. On any given day over half the diners are regulars. "Hello! So nice to see you!" says amiable owner/manager Denise, ushering them in as if into her own lounge. Some have come from abroad; most have been coming for years, finding comfort in the familiar dated burgundy wallpaper, carpet and chairs. Equally as welcome are the down-to-earth modern European dishes. The warmth of the atmosphere can’t be overstated; Denise’s heartfelt hospitality - all too rare these days - pervades her front restaurant.

The staff were friendly, my friends were great company and the wine was nice... But i have to say - food and ambience were just not good enough. The food did not seem all that authentic either. Denise;s Restaurant in London is fine for a quick bite but not for an evening;s worth of dining.
Denise's restaurant had a very nice atmosphere, very good service and good food, the plate of mussel's were fresh and there was a huge portion of them in a lovely sauce. The chicken chassuere was very nice indeed, the selection of vegetables which accompanied it were a bit meagre, one peice of cauliflower and one peice of broccoli with fries, but all in all a very satisfactory feed. Very nice wine too.
Denise's Restaurant, Southampton Row, London is a real find. Nothing special from the outside, inside there is a buzz as dinners enjoy good French-style food and attentive service.
Exceelent as always. friendly, good value, many satisfied diners, simple well thought out and well cooked food.!
