Apollo Restaurant

About Apollo Restaurant

A traditional Greek restaurant on London’s busy Seven Sisters Road, Apollo will appeal to anybody looking for a taste of sunshine on a bleak British evening. Warmly welcoming with smiling, friendly service from the all-Greek staff and a simple, unfussy décor, Apollo combines excellent food with a relaxed, cheerful atmosphere and, often, live entertainment with a traditionally Greek focus – singing, dancing, bouzouki playing with plenty of audience participation. The delicious Apollo menu is full of fresh, flavoursome Grecian dishes including charcoal brazier cooked kebabs, homemade dips and pitas to share with friends and, it goes without saying surely, stickily sweet honey-drenched baklava, all followed by a little ouzo.

I was a little disappointed with Apollo as there as some good reviews here. The food was ok but not exceptional and the service was slow considering there was only about 10 people there on a Saturday night! In fact the 4 people at the next table arrived after the 2 of us and were eating before before we had ordered! A pint bottle of Keo lager was £6! It's obviously popular with large groups, so if you want a quiet intimate night out it's best to avoid!

Fab meze, great value for money. Fish cours ewas a bit lacking but the rest was so good it made up for it. Again we ate early but would go a bit later next time to see the music

Food was nice with very large portions. Especially if you order the Meze! Service was extremely friendly and attentive. The restaurant was empty as we were there early on a Friday evening but was set for a large function and has live music from 10pm so I imagine it would be very lively later in the evening.
