Gigalum
About Gigalum
With its enviable location opposite Clapham Common, Gigalum is a popular post-work hangout and a favourite amongst the locals. The sun trap of a front garden is busy all year round thanks to heaters and rain-proof parasols that keep things cosy, even during the winter months. Inside, the atmosphere’s even hotter thanks to a fresh, modern decor and a young, well dressed crowd. There is an impressive selection of wines, spirits, shooters and cocktails on offer – guaranteed to lift your mood after a long day at the office. The food menu boasts dishes from around the world, such as paella with tiger prawns and chorizo; Asian chicken stir-fry; and Greek salad with chargrilled halloumi. At the weekend, they’ve got Sunday roasts and lazy brunches covered too.

Gigalum in Clapham South is definitely not a place to go for a big group. Very loud, bar service only, and they expect groups to order all food at once, even if paying separately. Cocktails were tasty, but pricey for our student budgets. We ordered our food and received it in waves, which we were warned might happen by ordering separately. One of our group did not receive her meal at all, but upon speaking to the manager, was refunded and given her meal for free. Food was good- amazing chips!
far too busy to enjoy a proper meal. good for drinks with a quick bite to eat, but do not expect greatness. Steaks were average and trimmings were cold.
excellent little bar in clapham. Always lively and a great place to grab a drink and catch up with friends
Had lovely evening at Gigalum, starting with bit of confusion over booking, but manager was very attentive and willing to help. Food was great too - better than expected from gastropub. Lively atmosphere on weekends specialy, great to catch up with friends over beer.
