Atrium Restaurant

About Atrium Restaurant

Probably some of the biggest news on the London restaurant scene in recent years has been the upsurge of fabulousness in hotel dining rooms. Sure, you can still find sad old cabbage-and-potato-sog-smelling places with embalmed waitstaff, but more and more often the very most exciting new eateries have found their homes in the capital's hotels. Now Atrium Restaurant joins the fabulous ranks with this new restaurant in Kensington. The modern decor and open, live-theatre kitchen give the space a certain up-to-the-minute vibe. The authentic, equally up-to-date menu is just right for how we like to dine now. But first, begin your evening in style with a drink in the Nabuco bar, featuring terrific cocktails and an array of wines and champagnes by the glass.

We booked for dinner at Fratelli Grill at the Marriott Hotel but found it has changed its name to The Atrium. The menu was different from that on the toptable page - shorter and less interesting. There was just standard fare of burgers, ribs, steak, fish and chips etc. Well-cooked but poor value. Not surprised there was only one other table occupied.

We had dinner at Fratelli Grill at the Marriott Hotel on Friday with an out-of-town guest and were pleasantly surprised. The steaks were all really good, the service helpful and the only thing that let it down was the lack of ambience ...

Fratelli on Cromwell Road is a great place to warm up on a cold night. They used to be Italian-themed but now its mainly a steak house, with the odd nod to veggies. Well worth a trip for some filling, inexpensive (when compared to some hotel/restaurant combos) and tasty grub!

Mouth watering steak; the best I think I've ever had. Perfect service in nice surroundings. It was a shame to see such a fabulous restaurant so empty though.
