Fortune in west Kensington is probably the best Sichuan restaurant in London. I'm a typical foodie from HK and China, so do appreciate good authentic Sichuan food. Fortune cooks its food with authentic spices, which "numb" rather than burn. Its classic dishes like trotters and mouthwatering chicken are tender and juicy and packed with flavours. Good friendly service at very reasonable prices too. We've been there many times and each visit did not disappoint. Highly recommended.
The food was excellent, but the service was not up to standard, it seemed they has somestaff issues. Between the starter and main course we had to wait over 45 mins. But we had so much difference Chinese food to chose from. They were great! I would go back again.
A great meal at Fortune, as usual. One of our guests, a Taiwanese diplomat who knows a thing or two about Chinese food, said it's the best Sichaun restaurant in London. And at reasonable prices too. Highly recommended.
