Another fine restaurant from Michelin-starred celebrity chef Giorgio Locatelli, Refettorio restaurant brings slick Italian cuisine to the City of London’s Blackfriars. Set within the luxurious and classy Crowne Plaza Hotel, Refettorio has a surprisingly varied fan club that ranges from businessmen and women fresh from their skyscraping offices, to the hotel’s tourist residents, to the young and trendy Clerkenwell crew. Surroundings at Refettorio are extremely sleek with warm polished woods accompanied by clean lined decorative touches – oversized lampshades, chrome pepper grinders and leather banquettes, all softly lit for an intimate feel. The Refettorio menu is pure Locatelli with imaginative, colourful twists given to typical Italian dishes that have been much-copied but never bettered. And the superlative selection of cheeses, salamis and fabulous charcuterie are among the very favourite dishes that lure devoted diners. Refettorio’s wine list has been handpicked by Sommelier Antonio to match the menu’s vibrant flavours.

Refettorio is now my new favorite restaurant! winter black truffle menu to die for and very good value. I look forward to coming back soon.
Great local place for a business lunch.
The 25% off total bill was good value and the pasta was one of the most tasty I have ever had, although the starter (gorgonzola and pear salad) was a little disappointing. Primarily a business style restaurant at lunch, service was quick although the waiter wasn't as adept as he could have been Overall very enjoyable.
Thoughtful, attentive yet unintrusive service. Delicious food and very nicely prepared, fresh dishes, and a delightfully quiet private room, made for a memorable lunch worth repeating.
Although the food was lovely, we felt it was quite over-priced, there was no atmosphere in the restaurant, and the waiters were overly attentive to the point where it was quite irritating.
