Nancy Lam's Enak Enak

About Nancy Lam's Enak Enak

You may recognise celebrity chef Nancy Lam from her Channel 5 show. What better way to try her unique Indonesian and Far Eastern cooking than in her own family-run restaurant. At Enak Enak (Indonesian for "yummy yummy") she serves honest, healthy meals in a smart, homely setting. Favourites include her famous satay, barbecued prawns and home-made sorbet. Everything is cooked fresh and its best to come with good company and a mind to relax. This isn't the place for a quick bite. The eccentric star occasionally comes out of the kitchen to chat with excited diners, the majority of whom are locals. Marco Pierre White regularly brings his family here. The lovely staff have a talent for remembering your name and helping you enjoy yourself.

Nancy Lam's Enak Enak, London. Met Nancy Lam herself, who was lovely. However, food was rather average (I have lived in Indonesia so I've had a lot of Indonesian food!) and servings small. Satay sauce and prawn sambal were too sweet and fried rice too soggy.

We enjoyed Enak Enak so much the last time we went that we had to go back and took our friends who also love Thai food. Out was much busier this time but that just added to the ambience. Service and food were excellent again, would highly recommend the chicken with Thai basil and the special prawn rice - absolutely delicious!
