Although Bistro 51 is having some refurbishments done at the moment, it was still a lovely place to eat and relax. The food was very reasonably priced and the steak was perfectly cooked. Overall, i definitely recommend Bistro 51

Bistro 51, London SW1E 6AF Meal for 2: £88.22, £79.90+£8.32 servcice charge, odd amount I know. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 glasses wine, 2 espresso, 1 dessert. Pepper&Tomato soup (£5.95) was nice enough, trout (£18.50) was a little over cooked but OK, best bit was the rhubard panna cotta (£6.50)! It is a restaurant that is part of The Crown Plaza Hotel, situated near St James Park. The decor and ambience is better than your usual Crown Plaza; to me it was very nice. Toilets via main lobby.

Had a client lunch at Bistro 51. The place was maybe 25% full and we were sat at the first table in the window to attract passing trade so we could have been given a more comfortable table. The french onion soup was very tasty and my client enjoyed his steak. My main - escolar on a bed of lentils - was miniscule and nothing special. The desert fruit platter was fine. The waiters were attentive - one was initially a little too in our faces but soon calmed down!

We just had dinner at Bistro 51 in Westminster and enjoyed the food and service. There was a variety of choices, so everyone tried something different. All was to our liking and we'll definitely go back again.
