Oscar Bar Restaurant, set within the fabulous Charlotte Street Hotel is found in London’s Fitzrovia in the middle of London’s media neighbourhood and a few steps from leafy Soho Square, the British Museum and the top end of the theatre district. The whole establishment is steeped in the charming artistic expressions of the Bloomsbury Set, and there are original works by Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant and Roger Fry as well as by other renowned British artists of that time. It makes the dining room of the Oscar Bar Restaurant a particularly lovely space in which to enjoy an inventive modern European menu. At Oscar Bar Restaurant there’s a special emphasis on grilled dishes, like classic grilled Dover sole with watercress and lemon. The terrific value set menu (which is also pre- and post-theatre) changes monthly, reflecting the best of seasonal ingredients. The wine list is particularly strong on things that fizz.

Oscar bar & restaurant, great venue for a business lunch. Great atmosphere.
Oscar's Bar & Brasserie at the Charlotte Street hotel is a great venue for an informal lunch. A simple set menu offering two or three courses of modern British food with tempting choices.
I arrived for my business lunch at Oscar Bar and Brasserie at the Charlotte St Hotel early but found the bar to be a lovely place to sit and catch up on emails (although £10 per hour for wifi is expensive!). The service was attentive and the ambience was relaxed but well-to-do. We sat for dinner - two of us taking advantage of the set menu which was excellent value for money - and had a very pleasant meal. Overall would highly recommend for a business lunch or for something less formal.
Another lovely meal at charlotte st Oscar Bar and Brasserie. I had the fish wrapped with ham and it was delicious, followed by eton mess for dessert which was also very good. I have a gluten intolerance and a lactose problem, and both are managed at the restaurant without the slightest fuss. This is my favourite restaurant in London, delicious food, great atmosphere and very efficient staff.
Breakfast at Oscar Bar & Brasserie is always a delight. Great for business breakfasts and a useful location.
