Toptable says about L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon
L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon restaurant in London's West Street is one hot dining experience. From the stable of Joel Robuchon, the most respected chef on the planet and holder of twenty five Michelin stars, and with siblings in Paris, Tokyo and NYC, L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon brings stunning Spanish and Japanese-inflected French cooking to the capital. The ground floor L'Atelier, also chic red and black in stylish minimalism, is where you perch on high stools and admire the chefs in the theatre kitchen cooking tiny, beautiful dishes of intense flavour, served sushi-style. The first floor La Cuisine offers equally marvelous cooking in a bright, monochrome space with trad seating. Dishes include divine pig trotter on parmesan toast, mini burger with beef and foie gras, mackerel on thin tart with parmesan shavings and olives, and magical puds like chartreuse soufflé. The wines are of the highest order, as is the service. Celeb central and foodie heaven.

Went to Joel and had 3 courses for £25.Maybe there was a high expectation of the place, but the experience was a mediocre one.Still pleasant dining out, but nothing too special really.Food was nice but not amazing. My friend had steak and although it wasn't overcooked, the cut of meat was full of tendons, hence very chewy.Definitely wasn't expecting that from a michelin starred restaurant. My pudding was tart selection but didnt finish it as it wasn't that good.Ambience was nice & relaxed though.
L'Atelier de Joel robuchon ticked all the boxes. Polite staff, lovelye atmosphere, fabulous food. However, we were charged for an extra bottle of wine and an extra bottle of water.
L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon is a must try venue, with great sample offers available now via top table. It is very expensive and the plates are small, but I think you have to go once. If money isn't an issue, then I think this is an easy place to drop into pre or post theatre or spend the whole evening there. Seating is round the bar or at side tables, and you can see the food being prepared behind. Affordable wines by the glass. The Chenin Blanc is lovely and good value.
Very chick place. Exelent food. Great value on special offer. Soft boiled egg as a starter is amusing, but very well presented with interesting condiments. We had expencive wine so the bill was still pretty high, but worth every penny.
L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon was interesting as it was my first forage into a 2 michelin star restaurant. The venue is unique with the bar stools over the chef's theatre hence not particularly intimate unless you opt for a table. I arrived late so had to take the a la carte menu - the food was pretty good but didn't blow me away. They also missed truffle off my starter and that's why I chose the dish! The did however compensate with free champagne so all was not lost.
