L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon restaurant in London’s West Street near Covent Garden is one hot dining experience. From the stable of Joel Robuchon, holder of 26 Michelin stars, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon brings stunning Spanish and Japanese-inflected French cooking to the capital. The ground floor L’Atelier, chic red and black minimalism, is where you perch on high stools and admire the chefs in the theatre kitchen cooking tiny, beautiful dishes of intense flavour, served sushi-style. The first floor La Cuisine offers equally marvellous cooking in a bright, monochrome space with traditional seating. Dishes include divine pig trotter on parmesan toast, mini burger with beef and foie gras, mackerel on thin tart with Parmesan shavings and olives, and magical puddings like chartreuse soufflé. The wines are of the highest order, as is the service. L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is celeb central and foodie heaven all in one terrific West End location.

L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, London was a class experience from start to finish. Other places may push the boundary of how and what they put on the plate (e.g. Viajante) however if you want attractive modern European food cooked well, this definitely fits the bill. We were having the pre-theatre offer which was good value (as long as you stay clear of the wine ;-) which may explain the only reservation - staff seemed a little too keen to get you through and out. Otherwise heartily recommended!

We had a fantastic meal at L'Atelier - the rum cocktails upstairs started us off very well and then the food, service, wine and ambience downstairs in the restaurant made for a very special evening. We even got a special recommendation from our waiter who heard that we liked rum and who suggested an unbelievable 12 Year Old rum as a digestif.

We had some trouble finding L'Atelier in Covent Garden but when we did we had a fabulous lunch. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine. The intimate atmosphere, enhanced by the decor and lighting added to the experience. Food was delicious, Will go again- lunch was great value.
