Toptable says about Angel Curry Centre

toptable Dining Awards 2009 - Runner Up: Best Value & Best for Dining with friends Despite the name, Angel Curry Centre is actually a small and perfectly elegant modern Indian. Neither short on competition nor regulars, its success is right where it should be - in the consistency of very good, well-presented food at decent prices. Side and vegetarian dishes are easily up to standard with mains. The other key attraction is being able to bring your own drink with absolutely no corkage charge. Yet there's no rowdiness, the tables of 30 to 50 year olds causing nothing more than a healthy buzz.

Went to the Angel curry centre again, opted for the meal deal, very tasty although portions slightly on the small side for my other half...still very good value for money so can't go wrong!

It was my first time to Angel Curry Centre. The draw for me was the £10 five course meal. The food was lovely although not very big portions but it seemed to fill me up still.

I may go there again but probably would be able to get the same thing with bigger portions for that price at Brick Lane and would prefer there because it's closer to my work.

Angel Curry Centre is excellent value, not the greatest ambience, but who cares at these prices and BYO to boot.

The Angel Curry centre offers beautifully cooked Indian food. The Lamb dansak is spicy and filling accompanied by well flavoured bhindi Bhaji, peswari Naan and Piau rice. All the other dishes served were of high quality. Service is friendly and attentive. With the 5 course menu for £9.95, you can't beat it. Definately enough for two to share.

Angel Curry Centre. Ideal for a Monday night - take a good bottle of wine and the £9.95 5 course if exceptional value for money. Can be trusted for Gluten free diners.
