Booked a table via toptable and which was smooth. The SBH was a recommended choice and I must say the food the brilliant as well as the service. it was quite busy even as one of the largest restaurants on brick lane with a very nice dining atmosphere. I would definitely recommend anyone to try the Standard Balti House.

We had another lovely meal at The Standard Balti house, Brick lane, London. The food was really really nice & amazing value! As always the waiters always made sure we had everything that we wanted & gave us fast, courteous service! We'll definitely be going back!

It's hard to know which of the many curry houses on Brick Lane are any good. We were introduced to the Standard by a local and while the outside is fairly unpreposessing it's a cut above some of the street's more lacklustre offerings. There are interesting Sylheti dishes as well as the familiar curries, the staff are lovely and they are able to take into account allergens - dishes made to order unlike some of the more rated establishments in the area. We keep coming back.

This Indian restaurant is a gem. The food is amazing but the service is very mediocre. Do yourself a favour. Relish in the culinary delights and look past the service. Your taste buds will be glad you did.

Standard Balti House was excellent as always - best restaurant on Brick Lane without a doubt. Chicken chat and the dall soup are great starters with Chicken Tikka Vindaloo as the main course of choice - a little cucumber raita to cool it down. Excellent service and a low price tag too - just over £20 per person inc beers and a couple of desserts. Highly recommended!
