A must-do. Very funny, ironic and unusual commentary. Great views fromm the river.
Many thanks for taking the time to write a report on TripAdvisor about your City Cruises experience.
We are glad you enjoyed the cruise and hope that you enjoyed the rest of London just as much.
We are sorry and disappointed, however, that our ticket office staff did not display the sort of friendly face and holiday spirit that we expect. Rest assured that this aspect of our service will be addressed directly and robustly.
red rover ticket-city cruises
we tried city cruises and found it very good. specially the guid on the boat was very funny. british black humor.
we left from westminster and went to greenwich (very nice). it took us bout 25-30min to get there. you can also take the train back from greenwich to towerbridge (10min). think it´s a lovely trip and you can see london from a bit different angle...
we´ll do it again!
wunderschöne fahrt
FAB!
I got the London pass and this was included. It was the first thing I did when I got to London, and man am I glad I did!! You get to see a lot of the heart of London. I started in Westminster, by big Ben, Parliament, Westminster Abbey and the eye. It took off down river towards London(I got off at the Tower of London stop, but it goes all the way down to Greenwich). The "tour guides" were very knowledge able and seemed like they were enjoying their jobs. It is also a hop-on hop-off ticket, and it lasts all day!
Avoid City Cruises
We went up to the booth to buy our tickets and I had to interrupt the woman from eating her peanuts to get the tickets. She threw the tickets at us and when I asked where the boat was leaving from she waved her nub in the direction of some boats. They also do not accept credit cards under 15 pounds which I found absurd. The sign at the ticket office says the tour lasts 45 minutes, but it lasted only 25 minutes. The 25 minutes were actually good, but it is a terrible value and terrible service. AVOID.
A great trip for the tourist.
Have used City Cruises twice and both times found them to be great. Comfy seats, and a funny & informative commentary make the trip very enjoyable. Food and drinks are available onboard at a reasonable price. Times are very accurate, the boats very clean and the staff friendly and accomadating. Well worth a few pounds for the trip.
NB: If you get a Rover ticket you can hop on and off as you wish.
