Clissold Arms

About Clissold Arms

The Clissold Arms restaurant and pub in Muswell Hill, London, is one of North London’s favourite gastropubs. With a bit of history behind it – this is the spot where The Kinks performed their first gig – The Clissold Arms in now firmly in the 21st century. The well-appointed dining rooms are light and neutral in the contemporary style with comfortable seating, squashy leather sofas in the bar, lovely wooden panelling. Besides the bar and main dining room, there is a huge and stunning terrace area with umbrellas and a great buzz as well as an ‘indoor terrace’ hung with twinkling lights, lined with bamboo screens and set to remind you of the lovely outdoors even when it’s just too dreary out there. The modern British menu with its classic French techniques and fresh innovative touches is under the very capable direction of Reuben Gould who uses seasonal, local ingredients complemented by an extensive global wine list.

Went to the Clissold Arms in East Finchely and had a lovely time. Food and service were really good and sitting in the room with the open fire made for a great experience. Will defiantly be going back

Almost nothing but roasts on a Sunday lunch visit, quite decent, good pork crackling and nice roast potatoes & carrots. . But figs with goats cheese were a very small portion, two tasteless very small unripe figs, slightly burned too, not at all good. Wine list is awful, very obscure producers and little info. Pleasant service but very noisy room.
