The Landseer
About The Landseer
The Landseer restaurant in London's Holloway is tucked down a side street with views over a local leafy park and is a great favourite with diners from the area. There are comfy sofas to chill out in as you enjoy a drink before dining and a smart dining room filled with green plants and with a truly friendly vibe, both from staff and from the other diners. When the weather is warm, you can choose between the conservatory dining area or tables on the patio to soak up the rays. When winter sets in, you may find yourself happily parked beside the open fire and working your way through their library of board games. The menu is French with an emphasis on the Mediterranean, though Sundays revert to classic Sunday roast lunches for a comfort food hit. And vegetarians will find a decent choice as well, not always true of gastropub establishments. The excellent cocktail list is another of The Landseer's draws, a welcome oasis in a hard-working part of London.

lovely place to eat, family friendly but not full of screaming kids, food great, and on sundays parking ok, will take my mum here
The Landseer, Holloway N19. The service was good and fast. Great bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The meals well presented, hot and the helpings more than sufficient. A very ample wine list; the Malbec, reasonably priced, was beautiful. The only complaint being that the music was far too loud, overspilling from the bar area into the restaurant.
Decent gastro pub food in a relaxed pub setting which can be eaten at a table in the bar or in the dining area - both good. Worth a visit if you're in the area.
The Landseer is a gastro pub. It has a very nice light and airy dining area as well as the bar. The food is typical g-pub and the service is ok. There is a good choice of 'real' beer! The toilets are in need of redecoration. I would recommend it if you're in the area (going to Arsenal!).
Nice pub with nice staff, but Sunday roast was pretty poor.
