Franco himself is from the Emilia Romagna region of northern Italy so you can guarantee that everything on the extensive menu is made with authentic ingredients and traditional recipes. We love the classic scampi Provencale and veal Milanese, as well as specials like Salcicce con polenta – delicious Italian sausages in a rich tomato and borlotti bean sauce. Low rating for Ambience as they were very aggressive over the tip, which spoiled an otherwise fantastic meal.
Franco's Ristorante Pizzeria 30 Rupert Street, London, W1D 6DL 2 People, 18:00, 01 November 2011 Had a good meal, provided without undue delay in a very busy restaurant. Enjoyed a good bottle of Pinot Grigio and were at the theatre to see Yes, Prime Minister in good time - just across the road into Shaftesbury Avenue. Banter with staff at the restaurant was fun and added to a lively environment.
The restaurant has great character. Food can be a bit hit and miss though.
A quaint, traditional Italian restaurant with unremarkable food.
Excellent authentic italian food, will definitely be going back.
