The Troubadour

About The Troubadour

A sanctuary for those who appreciate the joy of genuine coffee house. Its Bohemian roots lie firmly in the second great London coffee revolution of the 1950s when it began its proud history as a centre of courtesy, peace and creativity. A large band of regulars has remained loyal down the years, and first-time visitors will love the aged ‘all things to all people’ atmosphere. On the menu is a mix of wholesome house classics – large and legendary omelettes, burgers, steaks, salads - and daily specials. Live music packs them in too.

The Troubador SW5 was a bohemian wee place with pretty good food and funky service. Big table of 12 tired after-trade-show types were well looked after and well fed.

I went there for dinner with a friend during the week. As always great atmosphere and nice food. 2x1 on cocktails as well, not to be missed!

Such a contrast with sterile modern minimalist restaurants. Good coq-au-vin. Friendly and prompt service. Menu somewhat limited.
