This is an ideal restaurant for a pre-theatre dinner. The service was attentive and the food well cooked and presented - my husband's lamb shank was the speciality of the evening and was pronounced "delicious" while my char-grilled tuna was done exactly to my request. The wine list is more than adequate and well-priced. All this and only three minutes from the theatre on The Strand - I'm glad we've found The Covent Garden Grill - we'll be back!
We went to the Covent Garden Grill (London) on 30 December for a late lunch. The restaurant was quiet (3pm booking) but this meant that we were well looked after! The food was served on time and the portion sizes were enough to keep us going for the rest of the evening. 3 of us had steak, which were cooked to our preferences and were very well prepared. One had the steak and guinness pie which I was told was tasty. Food was good, but not outstanding.
Wonderful lamb shank. Quickly prepared as requested as I had a show to go to.
Came to Covent Garden Grill to celebrate a relatives 60th birthday. We were a group of 10, mixed ages and tastes. The menu had something for everyone. I had the duck breast which was great & a few of our party had the daily special which was lamb. Lovely friendly staff. Worth a visit and good value for money.
