Central Saint Martins College of Art And Design

Researchers from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design are liaising with Nobel prize-winning scientists to develop textile and fashion collections that celebrate scientific discovery. 'Nobel Textile' prototypes will be exhibited at the ICA and Saint James Park, and will be accompanied by a serie of public debates, workshops and performances.

Annual showcase of postgraduate design work from Central Saint Martins. This year it features the work from MA Industrial Design, MA Creative Practice for Narrative Environments, MA Design for Textiles Futures and MA Design: Ceramics, Furniture and Jewellery.

This is the second in a series of ‘Another Side of Fashion’ events to explore the wider influence of fashion, and the potential synergies between fashion, materials science and digital technology. Fashion has a significant role to play in developing new markets and products that are fast emerging or on the horizon, such as advanced materials for fashion aesthetics, wearable technology for digital communications. These synergies will be explored in this event by specialists, and will be informed by public responses to a public debate and exhibition.
