Based in the Southend area of the town, Croydon Steak House is a welcoming, family run restaurant headed up by the delightful Costas and Litsa Koumi who maintain the same enthusiasm for food today as they have had from day one. The dining room is clean, comfortable and classic with an appropriately warm atmosphere suited to family dining. Not only is the Croydon Steak House beloved of the dedicated carnivore but appeals to fish eaters and even the odd veggie. However, the must tries on the menu are undoubtedly – of course – the steaks. Served at outlandish sizes and cooked to perfection, these are steaks to write home about with numerous cuts and accompanied by trimmings galore and sauces too. A good number of veal and fish dishes and other classics make up the remainder of the menu.
