Da Paolo restaurant in Fitzrovia is an old fashioned Clasic family run Italian and all the better for that - no High Street Italian chain of formulated dishes here - all authentic Italian. Friendly and professional service and excellent food - the TT offer makes this a great deal.

Eight of us had a great meal at the Da Paolo in Soho. We often use this wonderful 'home' Italian restaurant as a prequal to listening to some late night jazz in Dean Street. We had the three course special (incl a glass of wine) for £25.00. Fantastic value, good choice and good portions. The staff are always friendly and we had the bonus of having the downstairs dining area to ourselves, it was like a private party. Best value for money in the area.

Booked as a late supper after the theatre we arrived at 10.50 (20 mins late). (Raining and no taxis). I had warned them we were running late but they seemed a little unhappy to serve us at first. Unusually for a Saturday night there was no one else in the restaurant and I guess they were planning to go home. However they did serve us and I have to say the food was excellent. My wife had Cod Fillets with Olive Oil and I had Beef Fillet on Rocket Salad and Roasted Potatoes. Both meals tasted and looked fabulous. The house red was also very good and the service given our late arrival, improved and was Friendly and efficient. I would imagine with a full restaurant the atmosphere would have been brilliant as the dining area is quite small and cosy. I'm now looking for an excuse to visit here again as we thoroughly enjoyed our first time.. Recomended but check the timings as going late could be a problem.
