Booked a table for two at De Amicis for 8pm on a Friday evening....it was surprisingly quiet however the service was surprisingly unattentive! Food was excellent.....concentration on flavour rather than presentation which is always good. Slightly disappointed that when we asked what the 'Dessert of the Day' we were told there wasn't one. Would try it again....may be with a larger group.
Went to De Amicis of Notting Hill Gate for the first time with a recommendation from a friend. As it turned out, it was an excellent choice. The atmosphere was very friendly and we enjoyed the food of high cost performance. We loved the De Amicis pizza. Well, no special toppings, but the crispy, thin crust was special. Even though I told them at the last minute that it was my wife's birthday, they quickly prepared a tiramisu with a candle and a chorus plus complimentary glasses of limoncello.
this is a small familyowned restaurant. The food is very much value-for money and the food is always fresh and tasty. Service is attentive and good, very friendly staff. Would recomend. If you want affordable and very tasty italian in Notting Hill, with the extra bonus of friendly staff, i can recomend this place.
De Amicis, Notting Hill gate. Third visit to this family-fun retaurant. Specials of the Day are alwats good nd wild mushtoom crevettes in bechamel sauce were excellent, as wads venson. Great value and friendly, efficient service even thoughbthe restaurant was busy.
