The Grill at The Dickens Inn

About The Grill at The Dickens Inn

Those who have visited London’s St Katherines Dock will remember the Dickens Inn’s famous three-storey timber exterior lined with balconies and colourful flower boxes. An iconic setting with spectacular views and origins that date back to 1799, this former 18th century spice warehouse is home to The Grill restaurant. Famous for its specialty steaks, Sunday roasts, sticky barbecue ribs and fresh fish, The Grill at the Dickens Inn is popular for city lunches and corporate entertaining, and is also a great place to bring visitors from out of town. Decorated with antique furniture and nautical relics, The Grill has a distinct riverside atmosphere and is a popular place for events and parties. The Tavern downstairs is a great place for pre/post dinner drinks, and the restaurant also boasts an impressive wine list with both old and new world selections from Spain, Australia, New Zealand and Italy.

Great location. Nice view. Service could be more on the ball and the fries with the fish and chips needed to be double cooked . Fish was gorgeous, pies good. Location and room nice pub feel.Great spot to meet for a quick bite and a drink

The Grill at the Dickens Inn is not what it once was. The food was ok, as was the service but certainly nothing outstanding. Considering the fabulous location of the venue, the meal itself was rather a disappointment.

I was a little disappointed at the Grill at the Dickens Inn. We booked a family Christmas meal... they couldn't offer apple juice (only orange), when I asked about a Children's menu or the possibility to provide a half portion for my 3 year old the answer was no. The food was okay but my vegetables look like they had been sitting around for hours (very wilted) and my husband ordered a medium rare steak bubt got brought a well done one. Nice venue but not the standard I was expecting

The Dickens Inn,one of Londons suprises. We booked the Grill solely because of it's location. I imagined a 'tourist' destination with so- so food, what a surprise we were in for. From the moment we arrived & were greeted by Roy we were impressed with the customer service. The food didn't disappoint.Beetroot & goats cheese starter was light & tasty. We both chose Roast Beef as a main, pink as it should be,veg perfectly aldante, we couldn't fault it. We will be returning.
