Amber Bar restaurant in the City of London right next to Moorgate tube has location, style and crowd-pleasing food all under one roof. Amber Bar is a seamlessly stylish space in warm yellowy tones with leather booths, parquet flooring, cool lighting and an international ambience. It’s a favourite for its very reasonable lunch menu that focuses on gourmet sandwiches, amazing burgers, fajitas, great salads, and classics of British cuisine like fish and chips. In the evening, the menu shrinks to nibbles and shared plates to accompany the fab cocktails and drinks menu. The wine list is short but takes in many regions and styles of wines with a great selection of champagnes if you have a triumph to celebrate. Inside the Amber Bar, you’ll also find the Milk Bar, Opal Bar and Groovy Wonderland 70’s themed bar with the dance floor right out of Saturday Night Live, so you can dine, drink and dance under one roof.

Had a quick dinner at the Amber Bar in Moorgate before a concert at the Barbican. Only criticism is that it is tucked away and hard to find. The map on Toptable doesn't make it obvious that you have to enter City Point complex to find it. Food was good, although limited choice in the evening (lunch menu looked more interesting), very competitively priced and service reasonably fast. Would recommend.
My lunch at Amber was a good experience; the food was very tasty and great value for money. The menu was imaginative, varied and practical from a time point of view. The service was superb and our table very comfortable.
My lunch at Amber was great, as always. My table was spacious and a good distance away from other tables, ensuring privacy and quiet. The food was fantastic value for money and very well prepared. I like everything about Amber; great value place all round.

good but no different to a wetherspoons; definitely not a 'spanish bar', just very loud music and standard nibblies for sharing. cheap and cheerful but not for a nice meal out!
