The Distillers and the Regal Room
About The Distillers and the Regal Room
Situated near London’s Hammersmith tube on Fulham Palace Road, The Distillers restaurant is a stylish gastropub with the emphasis on nightly in-house entertainment. Upstairs in The Regal Room, there is a comedy night every Monday, and live acoustic music most other nights. The décor of The Distillers juxtaposes grand modern mirrors and white and pink chandeliers with traditional wooden tables and floors. The ambience is warm and cosy, and the service is extremely friendly. The restaurant’s British menu changes monthly, and daily specials are chalked on the blackboard. We love the beer-battered haddock and hand-cut chips with jalapeño tartare sauce and minted mushy peas, and the seared sea bream fillet served with mixed peppers, baby spinach and salsa verde. The Distillers is rightly proud to offer intriguing wines at attractive prices as well as four great real ales sourced from acclaimed small breweries.

Shambles!! - No obvious place to discuss the booking (table for 4) other than queue at the bar for 10 mins. We were told that someone must have moved the reserved sign and that they didnt know where we supposed to sit, but that we could not order food without having a table (catch 22!). After 15 mins they located a table. It was still covered with old plates of food and no attempt was made to clear the table. Once ordered, food was quick/good (vs standard pub grub). Old plates still not cleared
Lovely food at a reasonable price and a lovely costy atmosphere! The only down side was the staff as they were a little slow and didn't know the specials for the day but they did find out for us so we got there in the end and it was worth the wait!!

I organised a group lunch at the Distillers in Hammersmith as it's the nicest gastro pub in the area. The food is always of a high quality and the service was reasonable. My only grumble is that I asked the waitress a question about the main that I ordered and when it came it was not as she had described it. But it was tasty none the less.
The offer on the website was not to be seen when we arrived!! We decided not to eat there as the decor and place was shabby and food overpriced!
