The RYA courses for coastal sailing yachts and off shore yachts is the envy of the world. Docklands Sailing and Watersports Centre run theory and practical courses which enable prospective crew and skippers to learn the necessary skills and knowledge to enable them to navigate safely and enjoyably.RYA Seamanship Skills Special event

On completion of this course the successful sailor will be capable of manoeuvring a dingy/keelboat/multihull in a seamanlike manner and making seamanship decisions in moderate conditions. Section A (Practical): Ropework - Launching and Recovery - 1Sailing techniques and manoeuvres. Section B (Sailing theory and background) Capsize recovery - Meteorology.
