Located off of Fetter Lane in the busy City of London, Grappolo Ristorante and Bar is dedicated to immersing diners in the Italian experience, taking them on a journey far away from the office blocks and tourist traps of the capital. Though Executive Chef Dylan Gianotti-Evans is dedicated to preserving the flavours and traditions of Italian cuisine he has nonetheless produced a menu with a bold, modern twist, inspired by both his own Roman roots and the varied culinary traits of the peninsula as a whole. At Grappolo you’ll see Italian food in a whole new light – not just copies of the favourites but inventive dishes celebrating a changing world of gastronomy with presentation and innovation worthy of London’s most discerning palettes. As important as the food is the fine drink on offer at Grappolo. The wine list is put together with great attention to detail, providing a taste not only of Italy’s finest and most popular vintages but lesser known boutique wines and a few worldwide bottles for good measure too.

Grappolo, London EC4. 50% off food and free bottle of house wine is an excellent offer. The atmosphere, service and food were all splendid. Toilets let them down slightly. The live music was loud enough to enjoy, but not too loud that we could not converse. Well done, we had an excellent evening in every way.
Went to Grappolo for supper on a Monday night. Around 15 people in total, including our party. Service was okay - not exactly friendly, but not unpleasant. The food was average. Starter was hot in some places but cold in others; it had clearly been heated up in the microwave. Risotto was claggy. Desserts were average/disappointing. Cheesecake was clearly of the frozen variety and the ice cream was inoffensive. The Top Table offer meant we received 50% off food and a free bottle of house wine.
With the 50% off deal the price was very reasonable, the food quality was pretty much commensurate with the price though. One of the blandest risotto's I've ever had.
Lunch was delicious. I especially loved the calamari.
