Itchy review of The Duke Of Cambridge

Legend has it that the DOC was the first totally organic gastro-pub in London so its pretty much thanks to them that finding a greasy burger and some lard fried chips is a virtual impossibility in London these days. The menu changes daily and is your standard gastro pub fare with lots of fancy fish and game. Sit back and proudly order a pint of cider without feeling like a fourteen-year-old reprobate.
Fancy A Pint? review of The Duke Of Cambridge

Well, this place seems to have settled down a lot since the last time I was here. Gone are the braying hordes and they seem to have been replaced by a slightly older crowd who come here for the organic food as much as the organic beers and wines. There's a decent selection of both food alcohol here, but we can't decide whether it is primarily a restaurant or a pub. Either way, I'll be back to eat more of their excellent vanilla cheesecake.
Lonely Planet review of The Duke Of Cambridge

It may feel like a typical London gastropub, with bare wooden boards, tables and sofas, but the Duke can lay claim to being the only certified organic pub in London and the first - wait for it - in the world when it opened in 1998. Indeed, everything, right down to the lager is produced without chemicals or pesticides (though the cider is better). The Italian-/French-/Spanish-influenced menu is reliable enough and the idea of eating healthily a bonus.
