Laksha Bay

About Laksha Bay

A first class Indian dining experience in London’s riverside Wapping area, Laksha Bay is unique in its approach to food and ambience. Inspired specifically by the beautifully exotic and little known Lakshadweep archipelago around 200km off the coast of Kerala, Laksha Bay takes the diner on a sun drenched journey to the crystal blue waters of the Laccadive Sea, the white sandy palm fringed beaches of true desert islands alongside vibrant coral reefs. With the relaxed atmosphere of those very islands in mind, Laksha Bay focuses on creating a laid back feel in its modern, unpretentious dining room with not only attractive, fuss-free surroundings but service which combines friendliness and efficiency so you never feel hurried, even on the shortest of lunch breaks. Combining traditional Indian favourites with unusual dishes inspired by Lakshadweep and India’s coastal regions, Laksha Bay’s menu is a celebration of tradition and innovation alike, its dishes making use of fresh, high quality ingredients from excellent sources.

A very good indian restaurant in Wapping, close to the station. Very quiet with nice athmosphere. Definitely the place to be in Wapping for "curry lovers"!

Consistently the finest Indian food we've had in east London ... leagues ahead of anything down Brick Lane. The new menu since reopening as Laksha Bay has some really interesting dishes on (and still their classic colouring-free tandoori chicken – a must-try for any curry lover)
