Efes 2 is a atmospheric and animated Turkish restaurant that is a fun place for parties and nights out with friends. Located in the heart of the West End in Great Portland Street, this colourful and cosy eatery is decorated with blue ceilings, Turkish lamps, lemon-coloured walls and wooden furniture, and Efes 2 has a basement dining room which hosts live entertainment and belly dancers every week. The menu is filled with a selection of crowd-pleasing kebabs, steaks, and meze platters – we love the aubergines stuffed with onions, tomatoes, parsley and garlic; the charcoal-grilled leg of chicken marinated, rolled and skewered with peppers and mushrooms; and the diced lamb and onion kebab.

Like a scene from Hot Tub Time Machine! Everything, from the decor to the waiters, is from the early 80s but don't be put off! They're friendly and efficient and the food is very authentic and very good, although the taramasalata was post-it pad pink! Great grill dishes, the hot meze outshone the cold ( the sujuk sausages and minite kofte were outstanding ). The kebabs were all excellent, although portions were a little small. About £30 a head and downstairs has live music and belly dancing!
Efes 2 - London. A little disappointing compared to my first visit. The portions were less generous and as well presented as they should have been. The set menu salmon dishes were served with no rice or potatoes which should have come as standard - they did last time
Food was nice, music was good.. Very busy.. Service charge must be paid 10 extra didn't like that
Happy to return here time and time again when I am in London on business
Efes 2 is fine for kebabs. Kalamari starter batter rather brown but OK. Waitresses lack charm. Price fair for the area. Not disappointing just middling.
